Various Positions, the seventh studio album by Leonard Cohen was released December 11, 1984. It marked a change to a “modern” sound and use of synthesizers, as well as an even greater collaboration with Jennifer Warnes who is credited along with Cohen as co-vocalist on all of the tracks. John Lissauer, producer of Cohen’s New Skin For The Old Ceremony, returned to the helm of this album. Various Positions, a stunning return to form, featured such enduring classics as “Hallelujah”, “If It Be Your Will”, “Dance Me to the End Of Love” and “Heart with No Companion”.
